Who We Are

Nuro – Study, Focus & Revise is developed by Sami Hussain (sole trader), operating under the name Nuro. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, contact us at nuro.support@gmail.com.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Nuro:

• Account data — your email address and username when you register • Study activity — quiz results, flashcard progress, study streaks, and session history • Content you create — flashcards, decks, and any notes or documents you upload for AI generation • Device and usage data — basic device information and how you interact with the app, used to improve performance and fix bugs • Payment data — we do not process payments directly. All billing is handled by Apple or Google. We receive only confirmation of subscription status.

Why We Collect It

We collect your data solely to provide and improve the Nuro service:

• To create and manage your account • To generate AI flashcards and quizzes based on your content • To track your progress and study streaks • To send you study reminders (if you have notifications enabled) • To diagnose bugs and improve the app

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

How It Is Stored

Your data is stored securely on cloud servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and restricted access controls. Content you upload for AI generation is processed and stored to power your flashcard decks — it is not shared with other users.

How Long We Keep It

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

Your Rights (UK & EU Users)

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have the following rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data • Deletion — request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten") • Portability — receive your data in a portable format • Objection — object to certain types of processing

Third-Party Services

Nuro uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

• OpenAI — to power AI flashcard and quiz generation (content you submit for generation is processed by OpenAI's API) • Apple App Store / Google Play — for subscription billing • Cloud hosting providers — for secure data storage

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies and data protection standards.

Children's Privacy

Nuro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Nuro after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
